About the Community
Sew & Create Valencia was created as a small, English-led sewing community for people in Valencia who are curious about fashion, making, and learning with their hands especially beginners who want to try something new.
After moving to Valencia, I found it surprisingly difficult to find accessible, English-language sewing workshops designed specifically for beginners.
Sew & Create Valencia was created to offer something different.
A space that is practical.
Friendly.
Hands-on.
And focused on learning by making without pressure and perfection.
What Makes It Different
• Small group sessions (maximum 6 participants)
• English-led workshops
• Beginner-friendly by design
• Focused on sustainability and upcycling
• Project-based format, finish in one session
Sew & Create Valencia is not a formal course series. Each workshop is project-based, meaning we complete one design from start to finish within a single session.
You don’t enroll in levels.
You don’t need to commit to multiple weeks.
You join a project, and you leave with something made or transformed.
While some projects may repeat every 1–2 months, each session stands alone. You can join anytime.
Each month features a new project from reclaimed denim tops to wrap skirts, patchwork pieces, and creative reworks.
Every participant leaves with:
– A finished or wearable piece
– Practical sewing techniques
– A clearer understanding of garment construction
– The confidence to keep creating
This is not just about sewing.
It’s about understanding how clothes are built and how they can be rebuilt.
Sustainability at the Core
Many projects encourage reworking what you already own unused denim, forgotten garments, or leftover excess fabrics. The goal is not mass production, but intentional making.
Through slow fashion principles and skill-sharing, we explore how to create value from what already exists.
